Location
The Pietra Antica O' Munti is in Sicily, in Puntalazzo, a small town (in the region of Mascali) between Etna and Taormina, just at the border of the Natural Park of the Etna and eight kilometers from the blue sea of the eastern coast. The location of the agritourism site is truly fortunate it allows a trip to the sea or excursions to Etna, or to visit Catania, Taormina and all of eastern Sicily .
In the vicinity of La Pietra Antica O' Munti or simply remaining in the agritourism site, visitors enjoy an amazing panorama: from the panoramic terrace a view from Taormina to Augusta and in the 4000 sq m estate, with an enchanting stroll (even at night with only the light of the moon and stars!) to discover beautiful views and pristine nature.
From the agritourism site the Natural Park of the Etna and Fornazzo (at 4 kilometers from the agritourism site) "doorway village" of the Park, can be reached in a very short time, beginning trekking on foot and by jeep to reach the woods and craters of the Volcano.
The beautiful beaches of Sant'Anna and Riposto are eight kilometers from the Pietra Antica O' Munti and the fabled Riviera dei Ciclopi with the mythic three rocks of Faraglioni, begun by Aci Trezza, at about twenty kilometers from the agritourism site in the southern direction and the sophisticated Taormina and Giardini Naxos the same distance to the north.
Do not miss the attractive Gole dell’Alcantara, 13 km from the agritourism site.
Il Castagno dei Cento Cavalli
At 2 kilometers from the agritourism site, in Sant'Alfio, is located the great, ancient chestnut that legends say sheltered a queen with 100 knights surprised by a storm during a hunting outing.
The chestnut today is one of the largest trees in the world with its 22 meters in diameter and 22 meters in height, a natural wonder that has lived, according to the most expert botanical scholars, for more than 2000 years.

How to get here
If you cannot read PDF documents, By car
From highway CT-ME exit at Giarre and follow the signs for Sant'Alfio. Near Sant'Alfio take a right to SP 161 in the direction of Puntalazzo to the piazza where you will take Via Andronico. 500m and you have arrived at the agritourism site the Pietra Antica O' Munti
By train
The stop closest to the Pietra Antica O' Munti is that of Giarre (Catania – Messina line). From the station there are bus lines for Puntalazzo that stop 400 meters from the agritourism site.
By plane
The airport of Catania is a 50 kilometers. From the terminal take the Alibus shuttle and exit at the train station of Catania, from which you continue with a train for Messina and exit at Giarre. From Giarre you can arrive at Puntalazzo with the bus lines.
